最近，我总是被问一个问题“你几时做工？”其实，我也是很希望可以快点投入工作的行列，不过世事难料，总是自己无法掌控。。

11月中，找到一份工作。心中的那股热血，无法抵挡，我的家人也是如此。有了工作，真是个好消息。

本来，12月就能去工作，以为一切都会很顺利。不过，工作准证却无法申请到。幸好，公司帮我上诉，但需要更多的资料与证据

等待的过程总是特别的漫长，一等就是一个月。每天不住地祷告，终于上诉成功了。不敢相信的事实，真的皇天不负有心人

当去做身体检查的时候，HR又告诉了我一个“不顺心”的消息。虽然已经上诉成功，他们又要更多的资料。这一搞，让我所有的兴致都消灭。

又碰上新年的假期，又是一拖再拖，HR也还没有给我回复。

所以，你问我“几时做工?" 我真的答不出，也不想答。因为我不要燃起希望，却又要消灭它。

我学着不去担心，因为我不知道未来会发生什么事。虽然是我想要的，时机还没到，我也只能等待。我需要学会忍耐，相信他会给我最好的。

有些事，有些人不看好，有些人不支持，为何还是要继续去做？如果有些人只是过路客或陌生人，你并不会太在乎。但，如果有些人是你的至亲，你的家人，你的朋友，那你如何取决呢？

当你兴致勃勃地想做某件事，你却被泼了一桶的冷水；当你有兴致地分享你的宏伟愿望的时候，你却获得别人怀疑或不屑的眼神；当你培养了某种的兴趣，你却不被看好...

这一刻，我相信每个人一定感到纠结。如果个性比较懦弱或没主见的人，应该会被他人的话语而打击，甚至放弃自己的计划或梦想。如果个性比较强势或很有主见的人，应该会继续并不顾别人的看法，甚至可能对他人产生了成见。

两种极端的个性，其实我都觉得有弊端。当中都少了分析与消化。别人会这样说，并不是完全没有逻辑。别人会认为这样，也许只是他一味的如此认为，但也有可能他有相关的经验。

还有另外一点就是你要做的是什么事情。错的事情可以分得很清楚，对的事情我却认为见仁见智。犯罪是错，这是最基本的。助人是好事，但却没有对与错。每个人都要他的选择权，前提只要没有牵涉到罪。

也许你今天孤独作战，但也许哪怕有一天会有一群的人跟从你的步伐？

会写到这一些，因为今天与亲人的对话。我被问到“为什么你要每个星期日去教会？”“不去不可以吗？”“那你星期日都不可以去逛街了”...当你选择了自己的信仰，亲人还是无法全心全意地支持的时候，你是否会就此放弃呢？会不会因为要避免冲突，而选择不去做亲人不喜悦的事情？

以前的我，我一定选择避免冲突。我会选择逃避，不去谈。不过，现在的我，重新的我，我决定不再逃避。信仰没有错，也许亲人觉得不重要或不妥，但我的亲身体验神的大爱，是一个不变的事实。每个星期日去教会，是我最喜乐的时光。这个3个小时的时光，虽然我可以做其它的事情，但永远无法得到内心而发的快乐。每个星期日对我来说最重要，因为我又重新被充电。

要告诉自己，就算有再多的阻难或困难，不要放弃，不要停止。持之于恒，你一定看到成果。任何事情，只要坚持到底，不断地求知新，你学得更多，你获得的更多。信仰也是一样。一定要让自己属灵成长，每天依靠神。

自从无意发现台湾节目“非关命运”，我对九型人格也略知一二。我，是温和型，九型人格里的第9型。温和型的人是好好先生或好好小姐的代表，很怕争执，最爱和平。其实，也代表了他/她懒惰去改变现状，觉得一切以方便，和谐就好。

可见的，自我催眠能力好强。遇到不开心的事，就告诉自己明天会更好，就告诉自己怎样去改变自己 - 以他人为中心。也许尝试去改变对方,如果没有任何效果,就是改变自己比较好.

事实是由我们自己创造的

他/她在团体中,基本上是受大家喜爱的.他/她一般都很随和,友善.他/她也爱帮助别人.不过,他/她往往被伤害了,周边的人都不会发现.因为他/她有苦自己吞.他/她不好意思去麻烦别人,也害怕别人因为他/她而耽误了自己的事.

这么内向的人,情绪要如何抒发呢?我呢,就是不停地听歌,思绪放空,眼泪不断地流,一个人默默地被储存很久的情绪伤害.

一个人在雨中，就算哭泣也没有人会察觉

有时候,我很讨厌自己的性格,有时候又很喜欢自己的性格.我很挣扎.我很爱付出,但很怕自己被伤害.我很爱为别人改变,但我很怕不受肯定.我很爱分享,但又怕别人没兴趣.很多的矛盾...

你能够勇敢赤裸裸地把自己的爱献上吗？

圣经中所谓的爱

爱是恒久忍耐，又有恩慈，爱是不嫉妒，爱是不自夸，不张狂，不做害羞的事，不求自己的益处，不轻易发怒，不计算人的恶，不喜欢不义，只喜欢真理，凡是包容，凡是相信，凡是盼望，凡是忍耐

刚刚陷入爱河的情侣，都可以深深感受到爱的美好。荷尔蒙的作祟，让彼此都只看到彼此的美，彼此的优点。就好像喝醉酒一样，陶醉在这个酒的美梦中。当身边的人批判他/她的伴侣缺点，他/她绝对会反驳，或从此不再向你提起他/她的恋爱史。这一切是多么的完美，情浓浓，爱深深...

两个人在一起久了，也自然越了解彼此。与热恋相比，这个恋情已经转化成稳定期。当一切都定下来了，人就会往现实着想。其实彼此相爱是不变的事实，不过不像热恋一样的疯狂。彼此会更加对柴米油盐酱醋茶而操心。担心对方的健康，担心对方的安全，担心对方的睡眠。爱充满了温情，有家人的感觉。

感情久了，彼此开始对热恋恋恋不忘。开始质疑“为什么不如从前了？”，就算回温，你也只觉得不再像以前一样。人的讨价还价，爱比较的性格慢慢地充满了思绪。一大堆的为什么，都被摊在台面。很多经典的语录，你都会听到。比如，为何你不再像一样那样爱我？为什么你都不懂我？

这个阶段最难熬，也最艰辛。大不了一拍两散，真的那么容易吗？除非，你眼前已经找到更好的，或许你真的太灰心了，也许另一半太绝情了。散场，应该就是彼此看见彼此最污秽的时刻。以前的美好，都变成雨后的泥巴。

圣经总是为人预备你将要面对的困境。这个时候，圣经中所谓的爱，彼此都应该好好的去省思。其实爱并不简单，圣经完美诠释了爱。以上的所有条件，可能我们都是不及格的。爱需要学习，你自己定义的爱，并不代表你的另一半也如此定义。那，你是否考虑依照神设定的爱去实践呢？

也许，顿时你会懂得爱了。。

沟通，就是人与人之间的言语交流。两个人可以成为朋友、伴侣、夫妻，无可厚非沟通占了一大部分。沟通是维持感情的桥梁。如果你要了解和认识一个人，你需要知道她/他的内心世界。所以，彼此必须要多说话，多分享秘密，那感情就会慢慢成长。

没沟通，就没感情吗？不是，只是感情不深。我们需要在职场上与上司和同事沟通、我们也会与同学为了功课而沟通。不过，这种沟通比较利益分化。我们之间的沟通换来了成果。只要利益消失了，沟通也自动减少。

沟通是双向，互动的模式

有些人，沟通能力很好，也帮她/他赢得了很多的关系。我总是羡慕，为何我不能办到？我是一个不知道如何找话题谈的人，所以我的朋友需要很善言，才不会感觉闷。我也选择性的说话。我认为这个人安全，我才会多说话，属于慢热型的。

我一直不断的改变，也希望自己能够增加沟通的能力。一个人不能够只有一套的沟通技巧，是需要一个灵活的沟通方程式。不同的人，需要不同的说话方式。有些人你可以毫无保留的有话直说，也有些人你必须婉转的说，或有些人不让你说的机会。

你是否曾经用你的言语感动过一个人？

感情越深，你也会发现自己失去了沟通的能力。不懂得向父母亲将心比心，不懂得对伴侣甜言蜜语，不懂得对朋友嘘寒问暖。感情会因为沟通而改变。如果彼此都只是有心，但没言，这并不能让彼此更靠近。但，如果你言，你说的是什么呢？是赞美，还是批评呢？

你是否忘了，一个臭的苹果，足以影响其它的好苹果？批评不可以恶言相向，批评需要考虑对方的感受。而，赞美需要诚心诚意，不是哄骗，也不是敷衍。当你多看别人的优点，多给与他/她赞美，沟通不止改善，感情也增加。那不是很好吗？

我，一直有一个梦想，就是要用自己的生命去影响别人。选择了心理学，因为我对辅导或临床充满了热忱与期盼。我希望我有能力去帮助每一个人。实现梦想的第一步，就是需要文凭。我完成了心理学学士，也即将完成硕士心理学。这绝对是我迈进一步的关键。但，还是不够。我的文凭不足够让我实现梦想。我，还需要博士文凭。

开始我渐渐地后悔，也渐渐地接受。后悔，因为心理学不容易读，也需要不断的进取。接受，因为我爱心理学，既然做了选择，我就应该走下去。我的心情的起伏，会时高时低。高昂的时候，因为我能够学以致用。低潮的时候，因为知道自己能力有限。

心理学就好像你拥有了一片辽阔的草原，但你需要独自寻找你要的乐趣

我的盲点，我自己很清楚。我对母亲课题很敏感，也更为之动容。我们的人格特质，除了基因的因素，也包含了家人的连结和环境的影响。我与母亲的连结特别深，也特别在意她的一切。只要是关于母亲，我会很容易感动或低落。

也许因为我读心理学的因素，也让我机会聆听很多别人的心事。心理学的最大好处，我想是增加我们的感官能力。我们能够较容易发现别人内心的喜怒哀乐。虽然可以强力感应，不过往往我们不能打草惊蛇，也不能够冒然然地告诉对方我们的感觉。

当一个人情愿让自己的心被伤害，

也许我们该做的第一件事，就是陪伴，保证那颗心还有痊愈的机会

最近，有一位刚认识不久的朋友分享了她的故事。她想要纹身。纹身对她有重大的意义，因为她想要留着已经去世的妈妈的记忆，让自己有安全感。当她叙述妈妈的故事，她很坚强，你也许会一度认为她已经看淡一切。其实，她的内心深处，妈妈的离世是她会永远自责的遗憾。

她虽然很淡定地说，也只是通过msn的谈话，却足够让我心酸与心疼。我清楚知道，她需要把这根刺拔出来，不过目前她选择这个痛。她也知道她很压抑，但她害怕她释放了会永远再也抓不到妈妈的记忆。

这时，我充满了无力感。第一，我不可以破化她想要的。第二，我无法去帮她。虽然，我知道她说做的一切，让她永远被这个情绪困住，也会影响她未来的感情生活，但我真的无能为力。朋友，就只能陪伴但不能辅导，因为我们无法分辨友谊与顾客的界限。更让我无力的，我辞穷。我感觉自己的话语变成没有影响力。

希望有那么的一天，她能够走出自己设的框框。再多外围的努力，如果自己不想，其实也是徒然。或许，会有那么一天，她会因为某些事件，让她觉醒。

而我呢，也要更加努力，达成自己的梦想。让我有一天，真的可以学以致用。

心理学，可想而知是一门很玄的科目。基本上，只要你说“我读心理学”，大家的眼神就如闪起了闪光灯或身体向后退。这些都是我们心理学学生都会遇到的状况。每个人都是好奇宝宝，这是无可改变的事实。接下来的问候语就是“你知道我在想什么吗？” 我们就只能无奈，也无助。我们只能不断地重复地解释，并且坚定的说“不是”，不过得来的回应就是“不相信”。

你也许看到美丽的女孩，我或许看到的只是没有完整脸的男人

还没上心理学的时候，我与大家一样，并不了解什么是心理学？我以为是催眠，我也以为可以看穿别人，我更加认为心理学就是治疗与辅导。这些也许是心理学息息相关的课题，不过这并代表心理学。心理学，涵盖了许多的领域。商业，医疗，社工，学府等等，都需要心理学。不要认为你上过了心理成长的课程，就到处告诉别人你读了心理学。这只是更加抹黑了别人对心理学的误解。心理学是一生的课题，永远都学不完，读不尽。

我个人认为心理学，可以是一个沟通之道。它教导我们不要一味灌输自己的思想套在别人的身上。当你认为别人应该怎样做或怎样想的时候，是否应该停下来想一想，当你认为对的时候，别人也许认为是错的。我们应该去聆听别人的意见。如果你一直不断地否定别人，别人对你也只好回避三尺。更何况当你聆听别人的思想的时候，你会豁然发现，受益人其实就是你。你又多学了一些知识，你也赢了别人的肯定与认同。

鸟妈妈把虫儿给鸟宝宝吃？还是一个女人一半的脸呢？

我更加认为心理学让你增加情绪的素养。当你了解自己，或尝试了解别人的当儿，渐渐地你会发现情绪上的转折。我发觉当我越了解自己，了解别人的时候，我变得更有耐心，也不容易情绪激动。当你有安定的心情，才能有思考的能力。情绪的波动绝对会影响你对一个人的判断。有一句话，我一直都记得。虽然只是很普通的一句话，却让我无法忘记，那就是“如果你要辅导别人，你要懂得控制自己的情绪”。对，如果自己无法承担情绪，如何有能力去辅导别人呢？

如果真的要谈心理学，我甚至可以长篇大论。因为，永远讲不完。今天突然想写出自己对心理学的小小看法，是因为突然有感触。无数不同课派的心灵成长课程出现在这个社会上。你不难发现，大家其实对心灵课程产生了很多的兴趣。这些课程，我相信对自己个人成长绝对有作用。不过，我也害怕就是被滥用。成长，我个人的定义是接纳，了解，改变自己。如果你的成长就只是让自己接纳与了解，并少了改变，那就是还没有蜕变。我们总不能老是像一个小孩子一样，需要被呵护吧？所以，心灵成长不是让你上我了短期课程，你就完全成长了。所以，换言之，不要滥用你说学到的一切，特别是在别人的身上。

如果你愿意花一个小时去说教别人，那就会好像赌注一样，赢或输就只有一半的胜算。

但是，

如果你愿意花一分钟的时间去聆听别人，那就好像不用打的战，只有完全的胜算。

2011 Chinese New Year's Celebration 新春晚会

2011年的新年，第一次在国外庆祝。以前，总是认为新年没什么，就只是发闷；现在，体验了没有亲人在身旁的新年，心里顿时特别思念亲人-正所谓“每逢佳节倍思亲” - 我终于可以深深感受。

This was my first experience to celebrate Chinese New year oversea. In the past, I always thought that new year was boring. But, I have changed my mind. I missed my family and friends badly during the new year.

为了让自己的新年并不是太寂寞，便参加了Plymouth's College举办的春节晚会。这个晚会，基本是我们中国同学所承办的。一张6磅的票，包含了入场，自助餐，表演节目及吃饺子。

I joined a spring festival's party that organized by Plymouth's College. The main purpose was to reduce my loneliness. This party basically organized by a bunch of chinese students from China. The ticket cost 6 pound, including entrance fee, buffet, entertainment show, and free dumpling.

这个晚会还蛮热闹的。前排的座位多留给了VIPs.所以，要拍照很有难度，因为前面都有人会挡住你的焦点。拍了不是很多，况且我们提早离开了。上半段的表演，蛮精彩的。表演包括了舞狮，武夫表演，古筝表演，相声，独唱，大合唱等等。

I was said that the party was quite happening. The front seats were reserved for VIPs. It challenged me to take a nice photos during the party due to audiences blocked the view. Therefore, I didn't manage to take more photos. We also left earlier. On the first half of the show, we managed to enjoy some great performance such as lion dance, martial art performance, zither performance, comic, solo, choir and etc.

Why did I regard it as marathon? I had attended 3 Christmas parties organized by Chinese Christian Fellowship, Plymouth.

It's just like a marathon, as I went through three parties within Dec for a celebration of Christmas. The feeling is just amazing because they are meaningful and exciting events. We are just like a big family, with full of fun and joy.

We had delicious food, played some fun games, exchanged gifts, and singing. Different people, different country, different style of celebration and..I m appreciate these differences. Thank you so much

25-12-10 Christmas Feast in Karine & Harry House

I am honored to be invited to their house for a Christmas feast. My first time had a traditional Christmas feast, and also my first Christmas in UK. My heart filled up with excitement, and eager to involve in the atmosphere of this thanksgiving day.

Their house was nicely decorated, with Christmas trees, gifts, banners, decoration accessories and etc. Back in time to Malaysia, I would think that Christmas decoration is worthless and splendid. Now, I has changed my mind.

Roast Turkey! It always associated with Christmas. This Christmas feast taught me how to name some of the food -.-lll It sounded terrible, but I indeed didn't know how to call them.

What I had in this wonderful feast? All the food prepared was kinda traditional food that every family in the United Kingdom will serve during Christmas day.

- Vegetables (steamed): carrot, corn, peas

- Fruit salad: mango, peach, apple, yam, grape...

- Tarts: didn't manage to eat it, I was too full

It's pretty hard to master photography. 6 months of continuously shuttering my Nikon Bi Bi, I proclaim my skill has improved bit by bit. It excites me, and inspires me to shoot more

Just a small tip of sharing

If the light is dim, there is 3 things that I normally will adjust

ISO - Choose ISO that is >800

Shutter - Choose low value such as less than 20

Aperture - Choose low value such as less than 7

These 3 things will allow more light in, and will make the image brighter

Sometimes, I will change exposure mode (+) or white balance

If you would love to shoot lighting,

It is recommended to use continuous shooting (few snapping at once) rather than single shooting

Continuous shooting is best to use when you are intended to shoot fast motion/movement

It will allow you to capture the blink of change in which single shooting unable to do for

Switch On Xmas's Lights

Christmas is the celebration of Christ Jesus's Birthday.

UK, as a Christ country treats this season extremely important. It is a season of giving, and definitely a season of pocket empty as well. Shopping mall has extended their operation hours, streets are flooded with crowds, and most importantly discounting taps are everywhere in the shop.

In Malaysia, we love Christmas too because it is a holiday, it is a fun gathering time, it is a hyper happening time, it is party time and etc. Shops open till midnight, transports service will extend till midnight.

In UK, shops will be closed on 25th. Transports will be stopped on 25th. The streets should be empty at night. It is a family gathering. It is definitely churches' christmas dinner or party. Houses display Xmas trees, parents prepare gifts for their children, thinking to have a family feast together, and also attending churches, worship Lord and etc.

Normally streets will become empty after 5pm. The only going place will be pubs, casinos or take away shops. The life is boring, not as hectic as Malaysia.

The photos was taken at around 7pm. The sky turns to dark as earlier as 5pm. I hate photography at night, because it is extremely challenging to handle it. But I think I m getting better controlling it.

The venue is Drake Circus, and its surroundings. It is just opposite my University.

Life in Plymouth - First Snow

Once opened my eye, the roof of building was covered with white snow. Immediately, I opened my window and saw the street was in white. Wow, finally snowed! Got myself equipped with Nikon Bi Bi, and started snapping for 5 min before the class started :P

The snow was thin, and it vanished after the sun started shine. Luckily I took some photos beforehand, if not I would be regretted. The excitement was short. My first experience of real snow in life.

Have been attending lectures of perception. Perception is part of psychology, which is the study of human perceiving events or stuffs happening around them, even the physical thing is constant. How does illusion (size, shape, color etc) which have designed physically could be related to the study of psychology? Those illusion is not created to fool human, in fact is the way how human brain works. A lot of amazing experiments have been shown in class, which catch my attention deeply. One of those is Ames Room.

2 and half months passed...

Have been here for 2 and half months, God has shown me his purpose to bring me here. He wants me to grow nonetheless he allows me to learn everything new out of my tiny world.

Western culture, definitely very different than us. Speaking and listening to them (particularly diary conversation), I sometimes cannot fill in the gap. Either they uttering with their slang, or they speak quite fast. Well, mentality is different and understanding of semantic meaning of words could be as well different.

Education system and setting, it is shame to make a comparison. Lots of intervention needed in my tiny country, I am really amazed by their professionalism, proficiency of material resources, teaching standard, and environmentally friendly concept, and others.

Well, what I m really blessed ....

The hall that I am living, is not my first choice. But, I am delighted to get it. My first choice is pretty near bar, if I have to stay there, I am afraid I have sleep disturbance everyday.

Some people have complained about their terrible flat mates being dirty, refuse to clean up mess or making noise all the time. However, my flat mates never give me any such troubles. Sometimes, they even washed up for you.

I have met some nice Asians, I m feel comfortable with their presence, at least they have given me some warmth.

I have a very nice supervisor who really to offer help for my research, I really hope I can get through well with her assistance.

Learning in different environment, is also a preparation for serving community. My strong patriotic spirit is still have flame in, need to be spark up one day.

Out of curiosity and attempted to have some firework shooting, I went for BONFIRE! click on the hyperlink to find out what is bonfire. It is celebrated throughout UK, nonetheless Plymouth is not excluded.

Plymouth Hoe, is one of the significant landmark of Plymouth. The place was flooded with crowd, everyone is waiting patiently for the show, Bonfire. Parents bringing their lovely kids, elderly, youngsters and etc, everyone seemed very keen on festival.

I wasn't a party or festival fret, but I was tempted to witness a festival that is never happen in my home country. I imagined it supposed to be malicious, it turned out disappointment.

Watching "woods" being burned, and speculating "normal and simple" firework, it doesn't excite me. However, my hands never leave my nikon's shutter button, it turned out to be a photography lesson.

I admitted photography requires practice and skill, as well it needs suitable equipment. Even though I was unable to take it well, yet it was a nice practice.

The most craziest day that I ever had in Plymouth. Not bad overall.

Emotion is evolved, its relation with emotional intelligence

Emotion is an innate ability, as proposed by Evolutionary Psychology for survival and reproduction. Specific emotion elicited to solve adaptive problems in the environment. Example: Disgust is a mechanism to reduce possibility of contamination and inflection in order to survive and reproduce.

There is 2 types of emotions: Non self conscious emotions and self conscious emotions.

What is the difference between them? Non self conscious emotions are emotions that most of the human or mammalian species unable to control of, it will be elicited by external stimulation. For example, anger, fear, surprise, disgust and etc. "Yuck, it is smelly" It is an instant response when you smell something disgusted. You're hardly can hide those emotions.

Self-conscious emotions are controllable, because it involves cognitive reprocesses. Example: price, envy, shame, guilt and etc. We will consciously aware of our emotions in relation to self, others, society and others.

Emotion is always associated with emotional intelligence, how well you maintain and control your emotion, also towards others. People that highly poor in emotional intelligence are more likely to have emotional pathologies such as depression and anxiety.

I believe that no matter how high your emotional intelligence is, you also have the potential to outburst. If you are easily anxious, the chance to outburst is even higher. If the person talks softly to you, it is unlikely you are angry toward her/him and vice versa.

Emotion can be hide or can be shown vary in situation. Essentially, emotion is highly value in any context especially social relationship. Emotional outburst is not the appropriate solution for problem, but it is always happen when there is lack of consensus over the issue.

Emotion, nonetheless is the most powerful tool, which is odorless and toxic-less. It's in our body, intrudes our cognition, and maintains/disrupts our behavior. Be careful!

Barnum Effect - Brief Personal Reflection

The Barnum Effect "a little something for everyone".

Psychometric tests consist of Barnum Effect, which imply generalization, and human are likely to fall into the trap. The classic example will be personality test. A set of personality-related items have been administered, and the subjects are likely to accept the result describing their personality.

As I recalled few years back, my participants are very pleased with the personality test. Most of them agree with the interpretation. How reliable and valid of the test? Personally, I believe it is just the trick of test.

We can never realize that explanation of our personality traits always lay in every domain. The only discussion is to discover which trait you are most prominent, and being told that each of us have all the traits which qualified as less prominent. Therefore, it is likely to be accepted.

Implication of psychometric tests is effective across context such as education setting, workforce or counselling sessions. Nonetheless, it is undeniable that they serve as basic guideline to further in depth understanding human traits. I admit that prior understanding of traits is essential to ease the process of forming contact with one another.

I believe that it is reliable yet validity is questionable. It is not content specific, yet it is domain general. Domain generality doesn't have specific object or mechanism to be focused on. It is just similar as learning. Learning is just a label, it doesn't content any information about what we learn, how we learn, what is the function of learning and etc.

Barnum effect is the newly term for me. I don't regard it as faulty or wrong, in fact it gives me hope, in provided I am not over indulged in it.

Psychology is just a Barnum effect, it gives justification for human thought, behavior and affect. It gives a free will for human to believe in what they believe. Psychology is an infinite variation, presents in every scent of life, which also makes psychology so attractive.

p/s: Barnum Effect is not only applied to personality test, it applies to horoscope, palm reading, tarot cards and so on.

She chose University of Plymouth, an university that Malaysians are not really know about. It is an enterprise and modern university, which focuses more on practicality instead of theorization.

At first, she was reluctant, because she fonded some even more famous universities such Edinburgh or Manchester. After checking British Psychological Society (BPS) website, she discovered that the famous universities that she interested in, did not offer what she wanted.

Advice was given by her agent, Gen Education. She needed to complete 1 year master study in psychology, before continuing 3 years professional studies in specialized field, which she will be granted herself to be a charted psychologist. It is a big dream, and she hope she could achieve it one day.

University of Plymouth is at the heart of city centre of Plymouth. The campus is huge (compared to her degree college), which she needs a campus map on hands all the times. Most of thetimes, she only went to Roland Levinsky Buiding, because of Student Welcome Centre and main reception there.

13th-24th September, there is a number of activities for international students to join such as city tour, parties, free meal, bout cruise, opening bank account and etc. Her faculty orientation falls on 24th September 2010, which will be the chance for her to meet up her coursemates finally.

So far, she did not meet any Malaysian new students. She met a Malaysian who volunteering in Student Welcome Centre. The feeling of meeting Asians made her feel warmer.

The staffs who work in the university are friendly and helpful, which reduce her phobia in communication. She always has low esteem toward her english level, hope she really can overcome the fear and excel in communication in the future.

The benefit to be an international student is International Student Advisory Service, a department that helps international students like her. This office is located in Portland Villa, at first she thought she bumped into a housing area. Indeed, Portland Villa is just like a single terrace houses which have different faculties as well as offices such as Human Resource, Chancellor's office, faculty of humanities and art and others.

She loves this area, is something different than a rigid office with glasses or windows. It is a house, but is an office. She came here, nonetheless she had to get a bank letter to apply for her bank account. Here will issue a letter to prove you are their student and current housing address. The staffs are nice and friendly.

Students' Right - yeah, that is a student union in University of Plymouth called UPSU. Apparently, she thought the union is just ain's active, nothing to look forward to. Stop, it was wrong perception. There is a CLUB/Bistro in UPSU, can you believe it? They sell starbuck coffee too, long queue always. It is just so amazing, eye opening experience.

Yeah, another landmark or savior for students will be library. 3rd floor in total, everything computerized. You can recall or renew book online, can borrow books up to 20copies once, self service returning/borrowing book, computer access and etc, your student ID card can load with money value to pay for printing or fine, and the ID is powerful to access to their system.

Comfy and spacious, there is always have casual or quiet study room, private room or open area space. There is a library cafe too.

Cooking has became her interest. Apart from surviving from hunger, she enjoyed cooking and photo shooting her meal. Received compliment from family and friends, she is motivated to create different dishes if possible.

Tom Yam Fried Rice with Prawn and Ham

Ingredient

Garlic (sliced), Onion (wedged)

Carrot, capsicum, lettuce, ham (slided)

Chilies padi (chopped fine)

Button mushroom (slided)

Prawn

White Rice

Seasoning/sauce

Tom Yam Paste, Soy Sauce, Ground Black Pepper

Fry garlic and onion till the aroma is release, added in all the ingredients. Added in white rice and seasoning. Fry till balance and fine.

Chicken with Lemon Chili Sauce

Ingredient

Garlic (sliced), onion (wedged)

Capsicum, button mushroom (chopped fine)

Chicken fillet

Seasoning/sauce

Lemon Chili Sauce, black pepper

Aroma garlic and onion, fry chicken and put in capsicum and button mushroom for stir fry. At last, put in seasoning, cover with lip for a while. Ready to serve.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Ingredient

Onion (wedged)

Potato (slided and boiled till soft)

Capsicum, tomato (wedged)

Fried egg, meatballs

Seasoning/Sauce

Sweet and Sour sauce, tomato sauce

Fry onion till release aroma, put in potato and meatballs for stir fry. Add sauce in, and put capsicum and tomato in and cover with lip. After a while, is ready to be served.

Sweet and Sour Chicken

Same procedure as sweet and sour meatballs. It is very appetizing and delicate. Simple and fast dish.

Boiled the spaghetti in the fully covered water with salt and oil (little bit) till it softs.

Aroma onions, fry meatballs and tomato and add in seasoning.

Boiled the sweet pea till it softs.

Ready to be served.

p/s: there is no rule to cook, it is the emotion to cook. Cook the taste you like and prefer, and it will be the best dish ever.

Adaptation to a new study environment is an on-going process. This is the reason that she delayed posting for a week. She created a new post because the previous post is flooded with numerous of meals, which could cause difficulty of reading or repetition of reading same things.

Her interest in cooking, finally become practical. She enjoys cooking and loves trying new dishes if requires simple ingredients only.

She browsed through recipe online, and she was attracted to the wrapped egg. She innovated it, and the result turned out to be positive.

A. Firstly, She boiled cubes of potatoes. She had to fragrant onion and garlic. Cubes of hot dogs and potatoes were fried and little bit of pepper and salt for taste. (put on the plate). B. She beat and spread the eggs, pour in A and capsicum. Stir it balanced and add in some pepper and salt. She fried the eggs on pan with butter.

Ready to serve on plate.

You may want to add in cheese or milk, depending on your favor.

She loves brown porridge, as she used to have it at home. She didn't have bean curbs, thus the taste was different compared to mum's cooking. She only put pieces of chicken, seasoned with oyster sauce, black soy sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil. Of course, onions and garlic need to be fragrant. Later on, added in white porridge and stirred them evenly. Served with pickled lettuce.

She bought a packet of udon from a chinese shop, about 20-30min walk. She decided to fried udon with leftover ginger and teriyaki sauce. In order to make it spicy, she put small chilies and black pepper.

She always added lots of ingredients like button mushroom, chinese mushroom, carrots, pieces of chicken, capsicums and others. Boiled the udon first before fried. I love this dish.

Another simple dishes served with white rice. For the hot dog, she used ginger and teriyaki sauce and fried with onion. For the mixed vege (sweet pea, carrot and corn) with prawns, seasoned with chicken stocks. Nice and appetizing.

Fried noodles again, but this time with bean spout. Next time, she won't buy bean spout again because bean spout can't put overnight even in the fridge. Pitiful, she had to throw them in the dustbin.

Deng..deng..deng..this is the British instant noodles. She still prefer Malaysia instant noodles like asam laksa or tom yam flavour. She found this noodles had put coloring, and the noodles turned out to be yellowish. She disliked it.

Fried rice with chili and tomato sauce. She hearted it. She put hot dogs, button mushroom and shallot. Delicious :)

Finally, she bought tom yam paste. She loves spicy, without spicy is like the food isn't delicious at all. Next time, she will put more in the soup, because it wasn't spicy and hot at all. But she still enjoyed it because finally she can taste tom-yam soup.

Well, she always missed mummy's brown rice. She can't get long bean, she ended up putting different ingredients which she like into the rice. She still love eating though it didn't taste like what mummy's did.

Seasoning: oyster sauce, black soy sauce, soy sauce, pepper and sesame oil. Fried the ingredients first, and pour in rice (haven't cook). Later on, added in all the seasoning. Boiled some chicken soup for use. Pour everything into the rice cooker, and added chicken soup. (1:1)

Seemed she got herself pickled lettuce for long time ago, and haven't try it she decided to boil porridge and ate with pickled lettuce. Apart from pickled lettuce, she made soy bean sauce with prawn. It was simple, yet made me missing home cooking even more.

This time, she seasoned the chicken with black pepper, soy sauce and egg. She made the chicken like a paste. She love the chicken paste.

Looking at the price and choices of foods, she decided to cook every meals for herself. Firstly, the food is expensive. 1 pound spending equal to 5 ringgit spending. She really hesitated to spend, and she has the aim to save.

Looking at different types of chocolate, it is indeed torturing not to buy. She loves them, but she suppresses temptation. She can't eat chocolate partially she doesn't want to gain on weight anymore.

The first night in Plymouth, she got herself a pack of spicy chicken slice, costed 2.49 pound. She afraid she has nothing to eat, buying it to ensure she has it for dinner.

It tasted well, and quite filling. At least worth her 2.49pound, which is RM12.45. It is still expensive for her, but she got no another choices.

At 11.45pm on 14th September 2010, her sister's friend came to find her. They brought her to Tesco Express which operates for 24 hours. In fact, it was really kind of them brought me good food - mixed chicken and seafood curry and garlic rice.

The curry wasn't spicy, but it was still delicious. A lot of ingredients inside the curry such as prawn, roasted pork, chicken and etc. The garlic rice was best eating with the curry.

The portion was big, and enough for my 2 meals.

After shopping in Saintbury, for her foodies, she able to cook spaghetti for her lunch. She creatively added any ingredients she like into the dish, without following any recipe.

There is onions, carrots and hot dog with the spaghetti sauce. The sauce is slight sour, next time she should add some sugar to make the taste even.

She got the free rice and cooker from her sister's friend. She is indeed so kind, and has made her appreciating her kindness very much. She decided to have a porridge for lunch. She added potato cubes, carrots and also slides of chicken, added with chicken cube and soy sauce.

She loves it, but next time she won't put too much of carrots and potato cubes in it.

She had made a heavy breakfast, because she will have a late lunch today. She fried the egg with capsicum, tomatoes and onions, added with chili sauce. It tasted delicate with toasted bread (a bit over toasted due to the bad functioning toaster). A cup of coffee O is the best for every morning.

This time, she had soy sauce chicken with rice for lunch. She had to fragrant onions, put in soy sauce, sugar and chicken for deep stir. She loved it in spite of it was a little bit salty, because she should add some water or lesser the soy sauce.

Normally, she will have soup noodles or porridge for dinner. She loved bean strip (dao qian). Chicken stock for the taste of soup, accompanied with capsicum, lettuce, carrot and hot dog. Yummy yummy.

Here it goes another dish that she made for her lunch. Thumb up for the poached egg with sweet soy sauce. Superb and beautifully done. Pak Choi, small cabbage topped with oyster sauce, little of soy sauce and black pepper (added some hot water). Baked bean only needed to heat up. A good meal is served.

She wanted to have a light dinner, thus she boiled 2 hot dogs. She made poached egg and also heated up baked bean. Baked bean has become her favorite, because she got to buy 2 cans of beans with 1 pound. She felt worth it, and she loves baked bean.

She had her own style fried rice for lunch. Fried rice contained of potato cubes, pieces of chicken, carrot, capsicums,onions and lettuce. She used tomatoes for decoration. She used oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper for stir fried with rice. Delicious!

She fried mee hoon, rice noodles for another attempt. She never fried it well, but this time she did. She fried egg, and later on she fragrant the garlic and onions, added with chicken and capsicum. She put chili sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil for taste. Add in hot water, and make sure it could cover the rice noodles. She covered them with the cover, and waited for the noodles to mix well with the sauce. She love this.

Her housemates complimented it smelled good. Yes, it was just a very simple dish with baked bean, egg, hot dog and capsicum. However, she love it because it was nice to eat with boiled rice. It is indeed a fast dish, and easily can do.

Due to the kindness of her part-time boss, he gave her a box of curry sauce. The British style of curry sauce is non spicy, and more yellowish. The taste was different compared to Malaysia style curry. She miss her mum curry, which is gravy and spicy.

She made a curry fried rice for her dinner. She put cauliflowers, potatoes, capsicums, onions and chicken in the curry. At the end, she put white rice and stir fried them till became gravy. It was tasteful.

She miss chap suet (mixed vegetable) at home. She didn't have corn flour, thus the chap suet wasn't as gravy as her mum's cook. She boiled broccoli, cauliflowers, corns, carrots and mushroom till it became soft. She fragrant onions and put all the mixed vegetable including fresh prawns for stir fried. A little bit of soy sauce and chicken stocks are needed.

Curry is always her favorite. She missed curry noodles in Malaysia. Since she had curry sauce, she tried to make a mimic curry noodles for herself. The taste wasn't the same, but it tasted delicious as well. She only need to put pieces of chicken and cubes of potatoes in the curry sauce till it boiled and cooked. In order to make it slightly spicy, she put some black pepper in.

Strongly recommended black pepper fried spaghetti. It turned out to be very delicious out of expectation. As usual, she put carrots, hams and hot dog. She fragrant the onions and garlic, added in ingredients, and put the spaghetti in for stir fried. (Spaghetti had to be soften by boiling it for 20 min in the water with little salt and oil). She put some chicken stocks, soy sauce and black pepper for taste.

Mount Edgcumbe - House & Country Park, Cornwall

A lovely weather welcomed the arrival of a bunch of newbie to Mount Edgcumbe in Cornwall. Transportation is provided by multi-faith chaplaincy of university, and they had to pay 2.40 pound for ferry return ticket.

Out of curiosity, she decided to go even she might not know anyone. She joined and she wasn't regret. This place is awesome and greenish. She was surrounded by trees, field, sea, castle and etc. In spite of hill walking, she enjoyed the cold breeze and fresh air.

A brief introduction of Mt Edgcumbe provided by the broucher:

Mt Edgcumbe Country Park enjoys a magnificent setting in south east Cornwall and overlooks Plymouth Sound and the River Tamar. The park has been famous since the 18th century when the Edgcumbe family created formal gardens, temples, follies and woodlands around their tudor house. Specimen trees such as Californian Redwood stand against copses which shelter a herd of wild fallow deer. The South West Coast Path runs through the Park for nine miles along the coastline.

A good place for family, couples or even friends. It refreshes your mind relax your body. She loves it, because she is a nature lover. She also can take some very good shot during such a blueish weather.

Life in Plymouth - Barbican, Plymouth Hoe

She followed the University trip to Barbican or Plymouth Hoe yesterday. She was offered 2 pounds for an hour boat cruise, it seemed a great deal. All of them walked from University Reception to the site, roughly 30minutes.

The first noticeable landmark is National Marine Square, she guess is a place for maritime army. A lot of boats as well.

The weather was freaking cold, especially you were on the boat. The boat able to accommodate approximately 30-40 of them. A lot of photography lovers like her snapping the photos continually.

In spite of distinctive architecture, water-sports and water vehicles, she got distracted by the long hour ride. She got dizzy due to the shaking cruise. She took lots of photos, but most of them turned out bad due to the weather. It will be best to shoot during summer.

She feels sorry because she is not interested in history, but you can go through these 2 websites if you want to know more.

The best is there is a greenish field beside the Smeatons Tower, you can lay on the field and viewing the beautiful sea. Apart from that, there is a mini golf field for family. It will be a good place for friends and family.

She tried to save every single pence, decided to choose a cheaper accommodation. Supposedly tried to get a place less than 80pounds per week, she failed to apply it. She finally got a standard room in Robbins Hall for roughly 87pounds per week.

There is 4 choices of university attached accommodations - Gilwell, Pilgrim, Robbins and Radnor. She loves Gilwell, but failed to get it. It was still fine for her, as long as she got a room to stay in.

Her room is T604, the sixth floor of the hall. She got to climb 3 floors everyday, and thankful she had a guy helped her carry 30kg luggage up to her room. It was tiring to carry luggage up, no doubt.

A standard room attached with a single bed, a wardrobe, a study table, a heater, a table lamp, a basin, a lamb table and a rack. She has 4 flat mates, sharing bathroom, washroom and kitchen. There is a laundry service on the other block, which has to put in coin for washing.

Her flat mates, none of them are Asian, are from local, Germany, Denmark, and Sri Lanka (she migrated to UK 3 years ago). They are still friendly and nice, and hoping she has more topics to chat with them.

Robbins Hall located opposite University of Plymouth, in Gibbon Street PL4 8BZ. A 5-10min walking distance to the university and Drake Circus Shopping Mall.

13th September 2010 on 7.30pm, she flied to pound land alone. She took Emirates, and managed to hold 2 tickets - Kuala Lumpur to Dubai and Dubai to London. Expectedly, she didn't manage to hold her tears, her tears dropping like pipe water.

She wiped off her tears, took the train, checked in, and finally sat in Emirates. The seat wasn't comfortable, she can't fall into sleep. It was like a year in the plane, wondering when did the plane could land in. You You, my beloved bear forced to bear with my sticking and teary face all the time. He accompanied me throughout the suffering trip.

She managed to reach Dubai at 10.20pm, which is 3.20am in Ringgit land. She got to wait for 4 hours in this superb airport. She spotted an empty area, she sat down and luckily was able to surf internet. Most importantly, her beloved pal accompanied her, called her and sms her throughout the journey.

She got no extra energy to walk around in the airport. After a while, she felt asleep on You You. A long waiting day, finally at 2.30am, which is 7.30am in Malaysia she managed to depart to pound land.

Carried with exhausted body, she slept non-stop. She finally can catch up some sleep. However, she did not enjoy at all. She knew this is a one way ticket.

7am on 14th Sept 01, which is 2pm in ringgit land - the Emirated arrived pound land. It took 2 hours to clear my visa and collect my luggage. She still got to wait for 2 hours for coach to fetch her to her university in Plymouth.

My first spending in pound was in London airport. I got myself a bar of chocolate, a bottle of water and a sandwich. Conversion made me hesitated to spend.

The weather was alright, roughly 16'c. She felt pleasant with the temperature, but again had to travel for another 4 hours. The whole journey she felt she was still in Malaysia due to the greenish scenery, as can be seen in Malaysia except the land of lamb and cows.

Couple of hours later, she saw the signboard of city centre. The city is beautiful, buildings with bricks and stones. She managed to reach University of Plymouth at 4pm (11pm in Msia). Settled down at roughly 7pm (2am).

It was such a long days for her. She has phobia to flight/travel for hours.

Gladly, she came with love, support and encouragement. She felt sorry for letting families and friends worried about her. She posted status in facebook, perhaps she was lonely and needed attention. She was touched by fantastic response from people.

Especially my family are the one giving me full support. Thank you very much.

My mum love kuih lapis, so do I. I got a recipe from Angie , the ingredients are pretty easy, the only most effort need to put in during steaming process.

Layer cake has to steam, layer by layer. I have to stand there, to count down the time each layer.

A very good comment from my family. You can tear the skin layer by layer, and it is indeed fragrant.

Hanging out with friends, is a way to know and update information about our familiar friends. Sometimes, it could be seen as gossip, but our nature of curiosity can’t stop us from knowing. When I am asking or discussing about a friend, in fact it doesn’t mean wicked intention, it is because the friend has certain value in my life. We are determined to know each other; anyway the person is once present in our lives.

I know it might be pathetic to gather with more friends when I m about to leave abroad. However, I m enjoying mingled with certain friends once a while instead of regularly. On the other hand, certain friends will meet up with each other more regularly due to proximity, distance, and others.

Reminiscing my memory, I have reflected the way I treated my friends. I deny I have a lot of friends but my friends always don’t believe. If you say I have known a lot of people, yes I do. However, if you ask me “how many friends you have?” I doubt I could answer this question. I have friends, but I only have left few who can be my consistent frontier close friends.

Friends yet are too hard to be defined. It will never be defined accurately. In life, I have encountered few friends potentially to be close, the result is bad. We don’t even contact, or else we won’t talk to each other much as before.

Certain friends might not close to me, yet they are so comfortable and pleasant to be together. I love hanging out with them, because the flow of communication will be non stop, or even in silent we won’t feel awkward among each others.

Certain friends have losing in touch for long, when the other friends brought out their update, they will still catch my attention. It is because I know them, I still remember them.

There is no category given to my list of friends. I am just grateful to know each one of them, because their presence is my experience.

Overcoming Grief

Recently, my schoolmate had left us to heaven. None of us expecting or realizing how suffering she is in earth, we did not know she chose to suicide because she used to be a sunshine in our eyes. In my memory, I never see her depressed or sad, I only see her positive side. Shock is my initial reaction once I received this heartbreaking news.

I pray for her immediately once I hang out the call. My heart was able to be regain peace and calm after the prayer. I smiled, because I believe she is happily staying with Father in heaven, and has gained eternal life.

Browsing through messages left on her wall in facebook, my heart is souring. My best friend, experiencing grievousness deeply. She posted a lot of messages for her, hoping she is able to read them. Apart from that, she is blaming herself greatly.

I am observing, and I don't interrupt her. Grief is a process of healing. She needs to be healed, and I won't stop her to feeling grief. At the same time, I worried she still unable to accept the fact at the end, and she choose to self blaming for life.

At the moment, her feeling is very intense, and the pain is squeezing her heart badly. She encounters much sorrow that none of us able to feel it. Someone used to be your listener and joker, a familiar voice and face became emptiness. It is pretty difficult to overcome.

There are 5 stages of grief - denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. The toughest is the process of depression. We might lost the purpose of living, blaming self and others, losing appetite, misjudging fairness of God and others.

The person is leaving, and the living has to survive after the loss. Life is given, and we have to appreciate and move on in lives.

BBQ Pork Bun, Char Siew Pau

Free time is my bakery time, this round was Char Siew Pau. My first attempt, yet not satisfying. My wrapping skill is bad. I supposed to wrap and seal, but turned out I round them up.

I able to cook the filling well, and the dough was acceptable too.

For Pau Dough, just go to the mart to get the pau powder (inclusive dough ingredients), followed the instructions, will do.

I had pretty hard time to make the dough, used super much energy. Kinda a bit regretting.

For the filling

Ingredients as below
1. Char Siew (cut into small pieces) 300g
2. Chopped onion 1/4 cup
3. Sugar 1 tbsp
4. Oyster sauce 1 tbsp
5. Light soy sauce 1 tsp
6. Dark soy sauce 1/4 tsp
7. Corn flour (add 2 tbsp of water to make a solution) 1tsp

Method
Fry onion with oil, and add all the ingredients and cooked till combined.

Potato Chicken aka 可乐饼

Referring the recipe from blogger, Hsing to make the delectable potato chicken within 1 hour.

Ingredients are very simple:

1. Chicken, chopped it into small pieces

2. Potato, boiled it till soft

3. Chopped onion

4. 1 tsp of mayonnaise

1. Fried onion and chicken with mayonnaise, add a little bit of salt and pepper for taste.

2. Boiled potato till soft, and mashed it.

3. Mixed minced chicken and mashed potato evenly.

4. Shaped it as you like.

5. Wrapped with wheat flour, egg (stirred) and bread crumbs.

6. Fried them till golden color.

7. Crunchy and crispy potato chicken is best served with sauce (chili/tomato) with mayonnaise.

Referred to recipe from Chinkitchen , sardine puff is super damn easy to make. Definitely, you need an oven :)

My 2 cents of advice:
* Don't overload the roti paratta with "a lot of" sardine and onion
* Have a good oven. Preheat is needed. Later on, bake the puffs with 160'c for 15 min (my oven is 1600w).

The puff is very crispy and delicious :)

Next time I will love to try with sausage and sardine or cha siew (roasted pork)

Love, isn't it unconditional? It seemed nope. I confess, I expect love to be rewarding. I won't request for equality in love, because it is impossible to measure the weightage of love. It is important to be loved by someone you love, because you literally feel you are in top of the world.

Love is selfish. We don't like love to be shared. It is applied when you fall in love to someone. If the person treats you less importance than others, how does you feel? You feel suck, and unhappy. You wish you gain love from the person.

Love is comparison. We compare our level of importance one another. We always tease each other, in fact perhaps we are envy or jealous about each other. Sometimes, we might seem agreeable or show ignorance, those are the sign of comparison. Definitely, we want to be the most beloved one.

Above was just the examples of love behavior. Love is shared among family, friend, relative, strangers and others - literally human being. We tend to be possessive toward someone we are close to, yet for someone who we are not familiar with, we don't even bother about the love.

It is how a human treat love is. It is pathetic, generalized to most of the human beings, yet not all.

We know how to love because God first love us. A love given by God supposed to be purity, natural, unconditional and sacrifice. He is the model, but we don't model him. The reality stops us to be as pure as we were, because we don't want to be the outcast of the reality.

Since long time I craved of dim sum as breakfast, coincidently found out Restaurant Janbo offers dim sum buffet at RM15.50++ from 9am till 12pm (if not mistaken), exclusive 5% govt tax and 5% service tax. Restaurant Janbo has few branches located in Serdang, Cheras, Kajang and etc.

I think the promotion is not heated up. I was there at 9am, and we were the only customers. About an hour ago, few new customers came in.

A total of 46 types of dim sum for selection. You made a choice, and then they would serve you after you ordered. Don't waste the food, because the wasted food will be charged RM3 per plate.

Ok, overall I found the dim sum, all in average. It wasn't very scrumptious and delectable, however I think it is still worth eating, especially for those heavy eaters. Additionally, you can enjoy your breakfast in an air-conditional, relaxing and quiet place. You also are served throughout the meal.

p/s: the egg tarts, I will give a X means NO. The pastry wasn't crispy and thick.

A girl tries her level best to stop her sentimental emotion. She easily breaks down in tear, even a unrealistic drama. She is fragile hearted. She pondered "how could she be calm and strong?". She nearly cries when she overwhelmed by responsibility in a far far land away from her home country. She nearly touched, almost burst in tear when someone she knows missing her and unbearable for her leaving.

This time, the girl choose to be strong. She decided to be emotionless, because she doesn't want anyone to worry about her. They are surprise and wondered how she turns to be brave. She doesn't utter much, and remains silent. She reckoned, it is time for the plant to grow as tree.

Farewell, an acknowledgement of parting. Her family has helping her for pre-departing preparation. They had spent a lump sum of money on her, the spending of few hundreds could just a blink of eyelids.

Her mother has cooked special Chinese dishes, in case she is unable to eat it in a year. Her brothers and sisters have given me some pocket money or buy me necessary stuffs, for her to spend and use. Even her grandparents, uncles and aunties - everyone is concern about her departure.

Nonetheless, friends also try to hang out with her before she leaves. They planned to give her a farewell, she appreciates their kindness. They admire her, because she goes for a better future in a desirable country. They wish her all the best, and in hoping the day she's going will be delayed. Knowing them, is her blessing from God. They accompany her for at least a year, through joy and sorrow. Nevertheless forgotten them in her whole life, they will be remembered always.

Expression through writing is sentimental too. However, she is controlling.

Brotherhood is a deathly promise of loyalty between 2 or more persons. Brotherhood turns to be a risk-taking act in gangland. It is a bow to protect your gang members no matter how. Perhaps, you died on the street for the victory of gang fight, they will be celebrating because you play hard for them. You are dead, and you get nothing.

What are the reasons to attract youths join gangland? Some, always being bullied thus joining to protect self. Some, joining undoubtedly due to a gangster's dad. Some, just follow what friends do. We think they are just too naive, but they regard themselves as heroes.

You advice them, is a waste of tongue. Once they join, they will not quit. It is the rule of games. Experience is the vital reason for them to continue or quit. They might be caught in jail, therefore they regretted. They might lost their family, therefore they quit. However, vice versa they might be in till the day of death.

Today you call them brother, another day they might be your enemies. Everyone is an individual. We are subjected to authority, power or wealth. We will desire materials' pleasure, brotherhood is just a peanut.

Monga is worth watching. It doesn't have much blood scenes, thus It wasn't so stressful to watch. It also has little element of love blossoms happened in youngsters.

The last stop in Malacca was in Jonker Street, a street that you can get in touch with Malacca's culture and food. We decided to try Portuguese food, another specialty in Malacca. In exact, the location is in the middle of street, thus it is not noticeable. If your starting point is from Discovery Cafe on your left, you may walk through the alley. The interior design is kinda simple. It is small, doesn't able to accommodation much customers.

Due to much walking, I chose to have a pineapple ice to cold my body. It is just simple, but a good serve if you are thirsty or hot.

The appetizer, is free of charge. I didn't know the name, but I guess it is similar as acah (fruits or vegetables such as cucumber, mango, papaya are soaked into a vinegar or others).

It is savory, gives a sensation of sweet and sour. The ikan bilis is crispy too.

Mix vegetables - fried with cauliflowers, carrots, broccoli, mushroom and prawn (RM8 small, RM12 big). It is scrumptious and appetizing.

Portuguese Special Curry Dable Chicken - cooked with special spices, onion, red chili & vinegar (RM12 small, RM20 big). The food is appealing, and the taste is zesty. It is recommended to spicy eaters.

Green Curry Mussel - Served with spicy chili paste accompanied by onions (RM15 small, RM25 big). I didn't much prefer mussel, but the sauce is delectable. It is best served with rice.

A funny encountered with the ladies next table. They kept whispering and staring at us. Perhaps, they saw 2 dslr on the table or overheard our conversation. But, it kinda uncomfortable. I dislike people like that.

Whooah, we had been long waiting for this show. I kept wondering how the show would be liked, whereas friends reminded me not to miss the show.

I reckoned, it was super great, and boosted my excitement to the highest. I sat in front, in case I couldn't shot any. Fortunately, my nikon bi bi functioned alright. It could be better if I have a better shooting skill.

I was terrified, when the malay girls sat behind me trying to feed the giant elephant with sugar cane. They were afraid to feed, thus they kept shouting with laughter. Oh gosh, I swear I wanted scold them. Could you imagine a giant wet trunk nearly hit us? It was disgusted.

My nikon bi bi, finally battery died before the end of the show. Sadly, I couldn't record everything especially the fireworks. How I wish I could catch the beauty in my bi bi. But, I satisfied with this camera.

A Famosa Resort "Cowboy Town" Part 1

We walked down from resort to cowboy town, just a 1o minutes stroll. From far, you could hear the sound of music spreading from the direction of cowboy town. We excitedly walked a little bit faster, too bad we forgot to bring the pass. We turned back, at last we managed to catch a bus and took a ride to cowboy town.

They welcomed us with sing and dance in their cultured costumes. Their enthusiasm gave a real warmth atmosphere to all of us.

There were only 3 choices of restaurants/cafe and 1 bistro, with a hell price. You forced to take the food, because there wasn't have any better choices.

The attractions in this town were red indian show and carnival show. I was not regretting, because I was truly amazed and enjoyed those shows. Very worthwhile shows.

Wild Wild West show was the best show among all. It was a live show with the speeding of horses, sound of pistols, fight amongst cowboys and others. Your attention won't be shifted, because the show was too fantastic.

As a photography lover, it is very challenging to shoot moving objects or subjects. The button is yet to press, however the moving objects might disappear shortly. Again, experience talks. It was my debut, I will do better next time.

Firstly, we went for Bird Show. I found a self-assumed strategic place, in order to shoot for the best moment. I realized the chosen seat was blocked by heads. Too bad, I forced to use the maximum zoom, and tried to get a better view. For the next shows, I tried to sit in the frontier. My shooting became easier.

What is the added point for the show, as it needs a entertaining emcee. The emcee able to bring all the audiences patiently and excitedly enjoying the process of show.

Animals are trained to entertain audiences. They can be trained, and performed so well on the stage. Would they have stage flight? It seemed they don't. They followed instructions from their master, and got reward after performance.

Repetition is their job. Would they get bored of repeating same things over and over again? I think job is meant for practicing similar tasks and mastering those. They have to do it.

The animal shows were impressive. They tried to encompass a human's doings. Great job, seriously enjoying.

A Famosa Resort "Animal World Safari" Part 1

Finally, I placed a visit to A Famosa Resort, a place that I am always longing for. Even though Malacca was just few miles away from Muar, I never had a chance to go. Hearing so much good comments from peers, I finally made up my mind.

It costed RM68 for Animal Safari and Cowboy town tickets. Their promotion was kinda effective, everywhere you could see many middle eastern tourists mingled around.

First stop, definitely was Animal World Safari. Why it costed high compared to normal zoo? The reasons are more animals, 3 animals shows, 1 wild wild west show, short distance in touch with animals in zoo truck, monkey islands and etc.

First time, I brought my nikon bi bi exploring the beauty of nature. My excitement can't subside, until when I wasn't able to catch a nice shot. I had tried numerous ways, but I wasn't so much satisfy with my skills.

In the trip, I took more than 600 photos. My finger never leave my shutter release button. Indeed, I had gained certain satisfaction when I able to catch some beauty in the eye of bi bi.

24th July 2010, Graduated!

Sorry for delaying this post because of my laziness to choose and edit photos. This was a day that I wasn't feel excited about initially. But, miracle happened I started to feel nervous when the day was approaching.

I learnt make-up just for this day. But I failed to DIY, because I didn't trust my skills at all. Finally, I got my sister-in-law to help me, and I was pleased with this. I didn't have appetite before the ceremony, and surprisingly I felt super hungry after came down from stage. I think due to my concentration too much focused on getting scroll on stage.

I was grateful because my family members, everyone were there to give me full fledged support. They presented themselves elegantly, and gifted me a huge hugging bear, a bundle of roses with graduating bear, and also a bundle of pool's families.

It was the most important, when your families able to testify your convocation. A big thank you to them especially to my parents who provided me everything in any aspects.

On the other hand, friends played a great role in my life too. Looking at my psychology friends, everyone dressed up formally, put on gowns, wore mortal board, and lined up to go to hall and etc. All the process they were with me. Everyone were a smiling and charming angels.

I was grateful to know them. Especially those went through joy and sorrow, thick and thine, rain and shine with me. Thanks for their genuine heart towards me.

The convocation ended, my heart became low spirit. The shift of emotion was extreme, yet it was memorable for me.

Happy Graduation to all the graduands.

Driving Attitude

A person's driving attitude, perhaps can reflect a person's personality. Once I remembered my friend conducted a research on Big Five Personality in relation to a person's driving attitude. Personally, I think it will be positively correlated between personality and attitude in driving.

I realized my temper hiked up to the maximum whenever encountered drivers who drive recklessly. I hatred to read headlines "death in accident" in newspapers, nevertheless someone I know. My heart will become overloaded. Accident sometimes can't avoided, but it also can be avoided. When the accident can be avoided, why want to let it happen?

Traffic light is no longer function as proposed. Yellow light, drivers speed up. Red light, drivers pass by still. Heavy loaded vehicles should be in third lane, could see them speeding, overtaking, and also in second and first lane.

I disliked drivers who don't consider the safety of others, keeping the distance with the car in front as minimum as possible, or shooting the spot light, or horning non-stop. I disappointed with drivers who are less tolerance, they think that let people overtaking them is a shame for them.

How you drive, is going to show what is your personality.

Anyway, I should train my temper, in order to keep myself healthy for not getting high blood pressure.

Drive safely at road, for the benefit of self and others.
