Muar Trip --> Parit Jawa

Parit Jawa located 15km south from Muar, it needs around 15-20 minutes to reach there from muar town. Seafood is one of the attraction because there is a fishing village there. Parit Jawa is nearby or can be said at the shore of Straits of Malacca. Thus, one of the occupation of the residents there is to be a fisherman. They are well-known of asam fish. All the seafood there are fresh.

Therefore, I brought my friend to eat there for our 1st meal in Muar.

This restaurant is beside fishing village. Go straight from the pasar of Parit Jawa, and you will see this restaurant. The restaurant is like an atap house owned by Chinese.


Sambal sotong with petai

Nan ru Fried Chicken

Kangkung with belacan

Asam Fish

Beancurd with minced chicken


Fried "lin zi" fish

Overall, this restaurant is worth trying especially the asam fish, sotong and beancurd..The food will increase your appetite and the price is reasonable. We spent around RM79 for 6 dishes.

Recently learnt about emotion triangle, it said human tends to suppress core emotion, and manifested as either a defense or inhibitory emotion. The emotion that we tends to inhibit are shame, guilt ... There are fear and inferiority that governs my heart - I have to learn to address and admit my feelings better, and make a decision to communicate or set a boundary. It is hard to actually do so, and I know after I have done it - I can sense my guilt and shame. It is like a vicious cycle.  I have to make a promise to myself - be mindful, be steady and let my head clears. Don't react much...But at the same times I am glad that I did say something. I did express myself. I did feeling less intense. I treated it as a progress.  Anyway I felt sorry of the people that I hurt - when I am still a human with sin...
